Mac and Mom at one month

McCarthy is now nearly a month old. Though he still doesn't have a job, he's been dang fun around the house, so we've decided to keep the little guy. We took him in for his third official measurements today: 10 pounds six ounces, 22 inches long, huge freakin' hands. He's packed on three pounds and grown two inches so far, which I'm told is in-line with analyst expectation—with some upside for industries requiring really huge hands. He's been sleeping a bit longer at night (usually about four hours), which has helped us feel slightly less zombiesque. We're operating at about 60% capacity now, which is nice. He's been increasing his feedings quite a bit during the day (both in frequency and volume). We think he's just started a big growth spurt.

Little Mac, we might have to change your name to "Big Mac" pretty soon. Wow, you have grown so much since we saw you 2 weeks ago. Pat and Nanny miss you so much are are counting the days to see you at the beach reunion in 3 weeks. Love, Nanny and Pat
