Props to my TV troubleshooting wife
For the past couple of months our TV screen has looked greenish pink. Not completely green/pink, but definitely a hue slanted in that direction. It's obviously just not right. I spent a fair amount of time trying to tweak the color temperature, hue, factory settings, etc. to get it to work. In fact, I think I've tried every single control panel option to fix it to no avail. So, I made the only logical decision—I accepted the fact that we have a greenish/pink TV and went on with life. That is until Tine fixed it.
Tine: Aren't TV screens RGB based?
Ed: RGB meaning red, green, blue?
Tine: Yeah.
Ed: I guess so. Why?
Tine: Well, I see red and the green tints, but really no blue.
Ed: Yeah...
Tine: Well have you checked to see if the blue cable is still plugged in?
Ed: Uh,... no
This is where I plug in the blue cable and the TV looks good as new. Nice work, Tine.
