Big Storm 2008...Team coverage begins NOW!

I just love watching the news when a big storm hits. You hear the phrases "Your team coverage begins NOW," or "continuing our team coverage...," or my personal favorite, "live continuing team coverage from the weather center." It makes it feel like they're broadcasting from NORAD or something. I love it. So, in case our team coverage didn't make it into your living room,... yeah, we had a big-ass storm yesterday. Close to ten inches of rain fell in many areas and the winds were close to 100mph. It wasn't nearly as bad for us as we're a bit protected by Twin Peaks, but it still packed a punch (as you can see by the downed tree on our block in the photo above). We were about the only ones that didn't lose power yesterday (close to a million people in California did). Our day consisted of looking outside at the storm (which was pretty neat, I must say) and going downstairs to Garro's place to watch the news using the rabbit ears as Comcast was completely out of commission. I'm happy to report that we're just fine. Now back to the newsroom...
