Scream Lessons (I Mean Swim Lessons)
I don't know why we thought the transition from bath time to swim time would be a smooth one. I suppose we thought that since Mac loves bath time at home that he'd dig some swim lessons at the YMCA. That didn't turn out to be the case. He screamed within seconds of getting into the pool. Mac kept looking at us with his best "Why are you doing this to me?" face. He stopped sreaming about half way through the class, which was nice. I think he started to not quite hate it towards the end. We brought our camera for some pics (which would've satisfied my brother Jason's request for some crying photos), but the YMCA photo police were stopping all attempts at photography. We'll keep you posted of his progress. They promised us he'd be doing the butterfly by the end of the class.

I bet you were expecting that swimming pool to feel like a big warm, soapy bath but instead you got cold, stinky chlorine water. It takes some getting used to and then you'll be swimming like a fish. Keep up the good work!
Just wait till he's 4. He will cry when you ask him to get out of the pool. Not that that happened to me recently or anything....
Mac,
Sounds like your dad needs to do some covert camera work at the YMCA to get that crying picture. Mom needs to distract the "picture police" while dad snaps a few shots and steps away into the crowd unnoticed. Jason
Hey Mac, Nanny agrees with uncle Jason!!Have daddy sneak in a water camera!!!Would love to see a picture of you in the pool. I love and miss you buddy,Love Nanny
