Tine, Ed, and Mac Blog The Super Bowl

3 :30 - National Anthem. Nice job, Jordan. Way to step up.
3:38- Bud Light Commercial (Breathing Fire). Lame.
3:38:30 - Audi Commercial (the Godfather horsehead rip-off). Looks like a cool car. Weak commercial, though.
3:40 Nice first sequence by the Giants. They might actually have a chance. Three points on the first run. Nice work, NY.
3:45 - Pepsi Max Commercial. Not bad. One slight laugh.
3:45:30 Sales Geanie Ad. Weak.
3:47 - We are already really tired of that stupid animated alien football player/robot thing they show at every break.
3:50 - Tine does not understand Under Armour's ad campaign at all. Me either.
3:55 Mac is still asleep for his afternoon nap. This is the highlight of the Superbowl for us so far.
4:05 - Bridgestone screaming animal ad. Annoying.
4:06 The terminator jumped through the screen to kick the animated football player/robot things ass. This is the highlight of the game so far.
4:07 - Touchdown Patriots! OK, 7-3 New England now. Kind of a slow game so far. I sure hope Tom Petty doesng't have a wardrobe malfunction. That wouldn't be pretty.
Derek Jeter ad is pretty boring.
Rolling Stones song for the Red Campaign is kinda cool.
4:08 Fed Ex (Huge Pigeons). Finally a funny ad. Turns out giant pigeons are funny.
Talking stains aren't funny Tide. They're annoying.
4:09 - Hey Super Bowl TV peeps... more shots of Giselle would be OK.
4:10 - Manning freakin' launches it!!! Nice bomb/catch.
4:11 - INTERCEPTION! He should've caught that one.
Budweiser ad. Thunder gets cut/trains like Rocky. Kinda cute. Commercials are pretty dissapointing so far, though.
4:12 My predicted Tom Petty song order: I Won't Back Down, Learning to Fly, Running Down a Dream, American Girl.
The movie "Leatherheads" looks pretty funny.
4:20: FUMBLE... RECOVERY... PUNT... BORING
4:25: Hey Careerbuilder.com... hearts popping out of chests are pretty disgusting.
4:30: SACK. BRADY SACKED AGAIN! Wow, the defenses are really controlling this game.
4:32: Great run by the Giants. And another one. Again, they might actually have a chance.
4:33: FUMBLLLLLLLLLLE! Recovery Giants.
4:34: Buying a Hybrid Yukon SUV is like making a double pepporoni extra cheese pizza with lo-cal tomato sauce.
4:35: Tine likes her boy Justin Timberlake's Pepsi ad. I'm mixed on it.
I likes the Dwayne Wade/Charles Barkley Fave 5 ad. Tine didn't.
4:45: Dear Fox TV People. We are well aware the the one and only Tom Petty is performing at halftime. I guess I'll pee after the game. I don't want to miss his "live" performance.
4:50: FUMBLE!!!!! Wow. Who woulda thunk this would be a pitcher's duel.
4:55: Mac wakes up. He loves watching football. I think he's gonna be a bruiser.
4:58: HAIL MARY..... INCOMPLETE.

WINNERS BY HALFTIME:
1) Defense. Whoda thunk?
2) Giant Pigeons. Really the only funny ad so far. And it wasn't really all that funny.
3) NY Giants. Only down by 4pts at half. That's a dream scenario.

HALFTIME SHOW: American Girl (OK, wrong order, sure. But I got this one right.) They are actually playing their instuments. Nice work, guys. The song even sounds a bit different. "I won't back down" is their second song. I'm good people. Two for two, here. Free Fallin' is third. Though this one seemed obvious, I thought it would be too mellow for a halftime show thing. Guess I was wrong. They've got to come right back with a fast one then. I'll bet $100 that "Runnin' down a dream is next." Yep. "Runnin' Down a Dream" it is. Where's my $100. "American Girl" and "Runnin' Down a Dream" are their best songs, so I'm guessing this is it. I don't know what they could play after this that wouldn't be a let down. Possibly "Mary Jane," but I think this is it. Yep, they're done. 3-4. Not bad considering they have a few hundred songs. Good performance. I still don't understand why they have a band at halftime. It's never impressive. Even when done well.

SECOND HALF: Tine got bored and went for a walk. I took care of Mac. Blogging and babies don't mix. Giants 17, Patriots 14.
