McCarthy's six week update & pre-vacation pics

We're heading to Long Beach for vacation tomorrow, so I thought I'd upload the latest pics and give y'all an update. We took him to the doctor for his six week check-up on Thursday where he got a good bill of health and weighed in at 11 pounds 10 ounces. He's been sleeping really well, also. It's not quite through the night, but 5-6 hours of sleep is a big improvement for us. He's also smiling a lot, which is pretty dang awesome. He smiles the most when we sing to him. His favorite songs right now are Tiny Dancer, Yellow Submarine, and You are my Sunshine. He also really likes I'm a Little Teapot and My Baby Takes the Morning Train as sung by Mom. I've had more themesque song choices for him so far. I hum the theme songs from Superman, Star Wars, Battlestar Gallactica, The 1980 Winter Olympics (thanks Chuck Mangione), and Jeopardy (which I've come to discover completely ripped off the riff from I'm a Little Teapot. Hum it right now and tell me I'm wrong (especially last verse)! He had an excellent visit with Kim and Jack and can't wait for Christmas to see Grandpa, Grandma, Kim, and Jack back in Richmond. He also had a great time meeting Aunt Susan who was in town for work. It's been a very eventful couple of weeks for the little guy. I hear things will slow down right around the time he graduates from college. Go Zags!
